The week leading up to Saturday April 22nd was one of the best in terms of training according to Head T&F Coach Mark Pryor. The weather was great and everyone's spirits were high. Coach Pryor has been utilizing both the pool and grass fields to keep his student-athletes legs fresh but at the same time keeping the track workouts crisps so the athletes maintain their rhythm and pace on the 400 meter oval. That combination has been working well in terms of fitness level and their aerobic capacity. So it's been merely about finding the right meet with good conditions for the athletes to perform well.

Track & Field Head Coach Mark Pryor had his training plan all laid out for the outdoor season. It was geared toward peak performances in late April and early May so that his athletes could qualify for the NJCAA Outdoor T&F Championships. This plan has served Pryor well in previous seasons especially in 2018 when his first T&F athlete placed 8th at the Junior College National Championships in the men's 400m dash (:47.71) earning JUCO All-American status. But sometimes, plans are made to be broken. In this case, both his freshman Ethan Bush and Keynaud Randolph performed well above those plans on April 1st at Towson University.

His freshman year was riddled with a nagging shin injury with only pool and weight training. 2022 is his sophomore and final year as he's set to graduate with his Associates Degree. Adam earned NJCAA Academic All-American honors with his 4.0 GPA in 2021. But there was still one box not checked.

Despite 48-degree weather, times continue to improve for Lmansour. One of the keys to performing well in an outdoor sport can be the weather. Warmer temperatures assist in helping the athlete's body run smoothly like a fine-tuned engine. Colder temperatures can hinder both the preparation and execution.
