Cardinals Extend their Win Streak to 5 Games with Win Over Hagerstown

Hagerstown, MD – The Cardinals won their 5th game in a row on Friday night against Hagerstown Community College. After a slow start to the game, Catonsville outscored Hagerstown by 17 points in the final three quarters. The final score was 54-45.

Jocelyn Fogle had another great performance, building upon her tremendous season. She posted yet another double-double, finishing with 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Cardinals also received a strong performance from Jayda Mayles. Mayles had 14 points and nine rebounds on an efficient 5-8 shooting. She also made a huge impact on the defensive end with three steals and two blocks.

Amelia Robins had a big day for Hagerstown, scoring 15 points and recording six steals. Susie Rodriguez also had a nice day, falling one rebound shy of a double-double. She had 16 points and nine rebounds. Andrea Elder only scored nine points, but she made her presence felt on the defensive end with eight blocks.

The Cardinals were beaten badly on the boards, getting outrebounded 41 to 30. However, they made up for it by winning the turnover battle. Catonsville turned the ball over 14 times while forcing Hagerstown to turn the ball over 21 times.

The Cardinals will look to extend their win streak to six games on Wednesday against Howard Community College.
