Catonsville, MD- The lady Cardinals could not hold off the offensive effort of the CCBC Essex Knights as they fell 118-46 at home. The Knights started and continued playing fast for all four quarters, shooting an efficient 47 percent from the field, and 37 percent from three on 43 attempts. Gissel "Gigi" Gamble led the contest in scoring with 29 points with 7 threes made, while Adela Cecunjanin boasted a double-double adding 23 points and 10 rebounds.
The Cardinals were led in scoring by Jayda Mayles with 13 points, while Maleyah Bell and Delaney Larrimore followed with 9 each. Four cardinals were riddled with foul trouble throughout the game with three fouling out, this with the pace of the Knights made for a difficult night for the Cardinals all around.
