CCBC Catonsville's softball team fell to 2-3 on the season with a loss against Patrick & Henry Community College.
In a back-and-forth contest, the Cardinals were unable to close out Patrick & Henry, falling 8-7.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first, the Cardinals rallied to take a 3-2 lead in the second. Patrick & Henry would tie the contest at 3 in the bottom of the second. Both teams traded runs over the next inning until Patrick & Henry took a 6-4 lead entering the fifth.
Catonsville responded with three unanswered runs, leading 7-6 after five innings. In the bottom of the sixth, Patrick & Henry responded with two more runs, winning 8-7.
Freshman shortstop Morhgan Gross (Howard) finished the afternoon with three RBIs and a double. Sophomore outfielder Abigail Heagy (Eastern Tech) added a double, while freshman first baseman Nicole Thomas (Francis Scott Key) had two RBIs.
