Catonsville MD- In their first home contest in a little over two weeks, the CCBC Cardinals played to a highly competitive draw against Allegany College. This was a battle from the opening whistle with 9 fouls for each team. Each team was also heavy with shot attempts as CCBC led the way as a team with eleven against Allegany's nine.
The Cardinals opened the scoring in this contest quickly in the 2nd minute with a goal from Michael Muchai, which was assisted from Christ Dokore. During the first half the Cardinals were aggressive in their attack with four corner kicks and six shots. In the 35th minute King Remi extended the Cardinal lead to two with a goal. Allegany's aggressiveness in the first half was shut down as their five first half shots didn't result in a goal.
The 2nd period started off slow with no scoring for the first 28 minutes as both defenses began their halves with the edge over the opposing offenses. The Trojans of Allegany however would begin their scoring in the 73rd minute with a goal from Nathaniel Klemm assisted by Riley McCutcheon. This only made the Trojans gain confidence as they would follow up on their comeback efforts with another goal in the 81st minute by Jace Patton. The Cardinals had five shot attempts in the half but couldn't extend their lead and allowed Allegany back in the contest.
The Cardinals now go to 4-7-2 and 1-3-1 in the conference. The Cardinals will look to find their first win in five contests next Tuesday with another conference matchup against Anne Arundel Community College.
