Owls best Cardinals 7-0

Catonsville, MD- Following their first win of the season, the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals returned home to face off against the Harford Community College Owls. The Cardinals hard fought effort was not rewarded however with a 0-7 loss to a talented Owls team.

The Cardinals showed their hustle and determination defensively through the first fifteen minutes of the game with a 0-0 score. The Owls however quickly took control with four goals during the next fifteen-minute stretch. Goalies Atendem Fuamazah and Miguel Arevalo continued to work hard throughout the game as they have all season long.

Offensively the Cardinals had some momentum early with a shot attempt in the third minute by King Remi, which just went wide. This was followed by a yellow card in the sixth minute to Owl's defender Alfonso Cortes. The Cardinals efforts offensively were not sustained however for majority of the contest.

Despite a tough home loss to a talented Owls team, the Cardinals should not feel dejected as they have many opportunities coming up to get their first home win of the season. Looking forward, the Cardinals have another home contest next Tuesday against the Cecil College Seahawks. They will look to turn their hustle and hard effort into a home victory against a conference opponent.
