Montgomery College Tops CCBC Catonsville, 80-67
Catonsville, MD -- Montgomery College secured a victory over CCBC Catonsville, 80-67 in a game that saw both teams find their offensive rhythm. Montgomery's was led by Ibrahim Abdulmateen-Robinson racking up 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Christopher Levy who contributed 11 points. They were followed closely by Sebastian Dokum and Isaiah Gill who each provided 9 points respectively. The team collectively shot 41.7% from the field and converted 14 out of 21 free throws.
CCBC Catonsville, despite the loss, had multiple strong individual performances as well. Micah Morgan and Kamren Hayes led the team's scoring efforts with 16 points each. Hayes was particularly effective from beyond the arc, making 4-4 3 pointers. However, they struggled from 3pt range overall as well as from the free throw line, finishing 6-21 and 11-19 respectively. The game saw Montgomery dominate the boards, outrebounding CCBC Catonsville 36 to 32.
The Cardinals look to get back into the win column when they face College of Southern Maryland.
