Union Overpowers CCBC Catonsville Cardinals 96-38
Cranford, NJ -- Union College (NJ) delivered a commanding performance against CCBC Catonsville, securing a 96-38 victory. Leading the charge for Union was Hillary De Los Santos, who scored a game-high 21 points while adding 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Destiny Bynum Johnson and Ore Ogunwolere also shined, contributing 18 and 14 points, respectively. Ogunwolere's defensive presence was particularly impressive, recording 9 steals to disrupt Catonsville's offense throughout the game. Union's balanced attack and depth were on full display, with significant contributions from the bench, including Amiyah Fulton's 10 points. The team dominated the boards with 53 rebounds and their defensive pressure also translated into 17 steals and forced numerous turnovers.
For CCBC Catonsville, Jocelyn Fogle was a bright spot, finishing with 20 points and converting 12-16 free throws. Serafina Stubbs added 12 points on perfect 5-5 shooting. However, Catonsville struggled to generate scoring opportunities, as Union's defense limited their field goal attempts. Despite Catonsville's efficient shooting percentage of 83.3%, their limited attempts and inability to control rebounds (zero team rebounds) allowed Union to seize control early.
The Cardinals are back next week with a home game against Monroe University on January 24th at 5 PM.
