Cardinals fall short in 67-60 battle against Garrett College

Catonsville, MD -- The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals put up a strong fight but ultimately fell 67-60 in a competitive matchup against Garrett College.

Maleyah Bell led the Cardinals with an impressive 21-point performance, displaying her scoring ability by attacking the rim and hitting 10 of 15 free throws. Jayda Mayles added 15 points while grabbing five rebounds, providing a consistent presence on both ends of the court. Serafina Stubbs also contributed 12 points and six rebounds, stepping up in key moments to keep the Cardinals in the game.

Jocelyn Fogle was another standout, recording 9 points and a team-high nine rebounds while showcasing her defensive tenacity with three steals. The Cardinals dominated the boards with a 38-24 rebounding advantage but struggled with turnovers, committing 17, which gave the opposition key scoring opportunities. Delaney Larrimore added 3 points and contributed defensively with two steals.

The Cardinals will look to regroup as they prepare for their next game against Westmoreland County Community College on January 15th.
