Women’s Basketball Signs (and re-signs) Five Athletes

Catonsville, MD- Head coach Morris "Stretch" Brandon is proud to announce the five athletes that have been signed or re-signed with CCBC Catonsville's women's basketball program.

Tamaiah Glover (Pictured- Top Left): New recruit

Myah Savage (Pictured- Top Right): Returning from 2018-2019 season

Mikayla Kemp (Pictured- Bottom Left): Returning from 2019-2020 season

Cache Waters (Pictured- Bottom Middle): Returning from 2019-2020 season

Ty Burden (Pictured- Bottom Right): New recruit

Cache Waters returns from her successful 2019-2020 freshman season. Waters played in 25 games while posting the following averages;

13.8 Points/Game, 36.9 FG %, 33.8 3PT %, and a 74.3 FT %. Waters also recorded 345 total points on the season. Her two highest scoring games were against College of Southern Maryland (26 points), and Chesapeake (25 points), respectively. Against Frederick, Waters would post a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Mikayla Kemp is also returning following a successful 2019-2020 season. Kemp appeared in 25 games and posted the following averages;

8.9 Points/Game, 22.0 3PT %, and 3.9 rebounds/game. Kemp also recorded 223 total points on the season. Her two highest scoring games were against Potomac State (19 points), and College of Southern Maryland (17 points).

Myah Savage returns from the 2018-2019 season to handle point guard duties for the program.

During the 2018-19 season, Savage posted some impressive stats.

28 games player, 18.1 points/game, 33.4 FG %, 26.2 3PT %, 75.7 FT%, and 4.2 assists/game. Savage would also go on to score 507 total points, record 118 assists, and post 44 steals.

She would score 33 points against AACC (2/2/19). Savage went 13-20 (65%) form the field and 6-13 (46.2%) from the three. Against Camden (12/20/18), Savage went 10-20 (50%) from the field, 5-12 (41.7%) from the three, and 5-5 from the line.

Coach Stretch is continuing his efforts in building the 2020-2021 squad. He is excited for his current signees to take the court in October. Welcome to Cardinal Nation, ladies!
