Cardinals Fall to Southern Maryland

Catonsville, MD – The Cardinals dropped a game to The College of Southern Maryland. The Cardinals lost 10-6 in a back-and-forth game until the end. The College of Southern Maryland took the lead and never looked back. The Cardinals played well and stayed close, but College of Southern Maryland was able to pull away.  

Offense Showed Out 

Despite the loss, The Cardinals were still able to total 6 runs for the game. They were very patient at the plate recording 6 walks, while recording 6 hits as well. Alana Watts shined for the offense with a 2-3 day, with an HR, 2 RBIs, and a walk. The rest of the offense was a team effort which allowed the Cardinals to stay in the game.  

Better Days Ahead 

The pitching for Catonsville struggled, allowing 17 hits and 10 runs total. Better days are ahead for the Cardinals pitching as Southern Maryland is a great hitting team, with a team Batting Average of .433. With Games on Friday and Sunday, it allows the pitchers to rebound from the performance against Southern Maryland.  

Upcoming Games 

The Cardinals have Double Headers coming up against Jefferson Community College on Friday, and Hagerstown Community College on Sunday. The Cardinals look to take these games and regain momentum before the weeks end.
