Cardinals Extended Winning Streak to Seven

CCBC Catonsville's softball team continued their wild winning streak last Sunday, defeating Camden County 11-2.

Not only was this the seventh-straight win for the Cardinals, but it was the seventh-straight win via mercy rule.

Catonsville opened the scoring with five unanswered runs in the first three innings. Camden County got on the board in the bottom of the third with two runs, cutting the lead in half. Catonsville responded with a five-run fourth inning and added one more run in the top of the fifth to end the game prematurely.

Leading the way for the Cardinals was sophomore outfielder Mackenzie Brooks (Hammond), who scored three RBIs, two doubles, and a home run. Freshman shortstop Morhgan Gross (Howard) added three sac flies, two RBIs, and a stolen base. Sophomore first baseman Felicity Voss (Catonsville) added a triple and an RBI, while freshman second baseman Katie Weaver (Eastern Tech) had an RBI and a stolen base.
