Men's Cross Country Season Preview

The men’s cross-country team welcomes back 2 returners from last year’s team and 3 newcomers to the Catonsville campus for Fall 2023.

Sophomores Ethan Bush and Keynaud Randolph return to lead the team in 2023. Both have looked very good in practice helping to pace the newcomers and leading the workouts. Randolph qualified and competed at the NJCAA Championships last year and looks to return and improve on his results. Both sophomores should run 26:00 or better for a 5-mile (8k) race distance.

The new freshman additions to the team are:

  • Gamaliel Adejo from Western Tech High School
  • Ronak Rami from Franklin High School
  • Drequan Venable from Lake Clifton High School

The season kicks off on Friday, September 1st at Goucher College. The team plans to compete in Delaware at both Univ of Delaware and Delaware State Univ which uses an agricultural farm for its cross-country races. The Paul Short Invite is a high-caliber event hosted at Lehigh University that includes NCAA D-I, II, and III-ranked teams. This year’s Region 20 Championships will be held at Westmoreland CC in October and the NJCAA XC Championships are in November in Huntsville Alabama.

Most of the events this year are scheduled for Fridays to give the student-athletes the weekend for studies.

Coach Pryor invites all friends, family, staff, and faculty to come support his team at Goucher College in Towson on Friday, Sept 1st (5:00 p.m.) and Friday, October 13th (3:00 p.m.). Admission and parking is free.
