Cardinals Get First Win of the Season

Lincroft NJ- Coming off a tough loss in their previous outing, the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals bounced back against the Brookdale Jersey Blues for their first win of the 2024 season. Another great defensive outing on the road for the Cardinals this time sprung a 1-0 result in their favor.

The Cardinals defensive effort was on display all game, allowing only one shot attempt from the Jersey Blues which resulted in a save from Goalie Atendem Fuamazah. The Cardinals played a clean game all around with zero fouls, penalties, or goals allowed.

Offensively, the Cardinals put together their best game so far with five shots on goal and capitalizing with a goal in the 60th minute by Tolulope Balogun. Balogun had three shots on goal with two in the second half. Mykal Hogan and Michael Muchai joined the efforts each with a shot on goal in the contest.

Following a great team win on the road, the Cardinals will look to get their first home win as they return to Catonsville next Thursday against the Harford Community College Owls. Cardinals fans will be watching and cheering in support to see their boys get the first home win of the season.
