Men's Soccer Game Preview: Westmoreland County Community College

The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals men’s soccer team is on the road this week as they take on Westmoreland County Community College! Here is everything you need to know before tomorrow’s game!

Opponent: Westmoreland County Community College

Location: Westmoreland County Community College

Time: 4:00 PM

Records: Catonsville – 4-7-2, Westmoreland County Community College – 0-3-1

Scouting Report: Westmoreland County Community College enters today’s match looking to earn their first win in the NJCAA Division II. Although these two teams compete in the same division, they are in different regions. Meaning, that they have slightly different schedules and opponents throughout the season. However, they both play a couple of the same opponents throughout the year, one being Carroll. The Cardinals shut down Caroll in a 2-0 win, while Westmoreland was only able to squeak out a narrow 0-0 draw. There seems to not be much offensive production for Westmoreland, as they have yet to a score a goal this season.

Catonsville’s defense has a great match up against this Westmoreland team. Without a doubt, they are going to hold strong against a struggling offensive team. This shifts the focus to forwards Bradley Ramirez (Newtown), Mykal Hogan (Boys Latin), and Mike Miranda (Lansdowne) who will need to take advantage of a low scoring contest. The Cardinals are looking to put another tally in the win column and claw their way back to the top of Region 20.

This is the first meeting between the two teams!
