Nic Hazell Named New Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse

CATONSVILLE, Md. (March 11, 2016) – The Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville Athletics today announced that it has named Nicholas Hazell head men’s lacrosse coach.  

 

This will be Hazell’s first head coaching position at the college level, however, he brings more than five years of high school lacrosse coaching and recruiting experience. He works with Blax Lax lacrosse, serving as recruiter and coach for summer U18 teams and assistant coach for U18 fall tournament and winter indoor clinical teams. Hazell is also a three-time Baltimore City High School Eastern All-Star assistant head coach. He was most recently the assistant head varsity boy’s lacrosse coach at Baltimore City College High School.  

“I am very excited for this opportunity,” Hazell said. “My immediate plan is to begin recruiting and build a sustainable team.”

A Baltimore native, he graduated from Baltimore City College High School in 2008, where he was a student-athlete standout. Upon graduating high school, he attended and played lacrosse at Wesley College.

Hazell resides in Baltimore, where he is heavily involved in the community, including work as a volunteer lacrosse coach at several youth programs and boys/girls camps.
