Cardinals Soar Past Dundalk in 87-82 Thriller

Catonsville, MD -- The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals pulled off an impressive 87-82 victory over CCBC Dundalk in a closely contested matchup. Wendall Tomlin led the way for the Cardinals with 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Lance Porter added a strong performance with 14 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while Cameron Sampson contributed 13 points and five rebounds.

The Cardinals' bench made a significant impact, with Kamren Hayes scoring 16 points and grabbing six rebounds in just 24 minutes. Karris Scott added 11 points and six rebounds, showcasing the team's depth and energy. Catonsville's ability to execute at the free-throw line (20-for-27) and their balanced scoring attack helped secure the win, despite Dundalk's Xavier Barrow leading all scorers with 17 points.

Dundalk pushed hard, keeping the game close behind a strong offense. Xavier Barrow led the Lions with 17 points, including three three-pointers, while Hussain Williams chipped in 16 points and three steals. Christopher Scott provided a spark off the bench, tallying 15 points and nine rebounds, nearly completing a double-double. 

Catonsville's resilience and clutch plays down the stretch made the difference. With contributions from across the roster, the Cardinals continue to show their potential as they look ahead to the next game with confidence.
