Cardinals Come Up Short Against Raptors

Catonsville, MD- Cardinals can't shake off losing streak.

The Cardinals take another loss, losing 103-77 to Montgomery College. The Cardinals got out to a slow start and trailed the whole game. Andre McFadden, scored 19 points, leading the Cardinals in scoring. Kevin Makle was a stat sheet stuffer with, 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 blocks. John McNeal had two electrifying dunks as well. The Cardinals players off the bench also contributed, with scoring 26 points.

The Cardinals in the first half got off the slow start against the Raptors, with the Cardinals, being down as much as 29 in the half. McFadden scored 10 of his 19 points, going 4-6 from the field in the first half. The Cardinals couldn't make a shot while the Raptors kept making theirs, going on a few scoring runs. Also, the Raptors dominated rebounds, offensive in specifically, 10 to the Cardinals two, the Cardinals also committed 11 turnovers compared to the Raptors three, which led to points for the Raptors. The first half ended with the Cardinals trailing 59-31.

In the second half, the Cardinals decided it was their turn to score. Miles Gaynair scored 11 points, Makle scored 10 and Aaron Massey scored seven. Going on a run of their own, the Cardinals at cut the Raptors' lead down to 10, though couldn't get it into single digits. A deciding factor in the half and the game was the offensive rebounds the Cardinals allowed the Raptors to get, nine in the second half.

Throughout the game, the Cardinals committed 20 turnovers and up gave 26 offensive rebounds leading to 20 points off turnovers and 36 second-chance points for the Raptors.
