HOW IT HAPPENED

 

  • The Fighting Owls broke the score first by scoring 2 off an error in the 2nd inning.
  • In the 3rd inning the Fighting Owls scored 2 more runs off a single and a fielder's choice. Fighting Owls 4-0.
  • The Cardinals came out the gate scoring in the bottom of the 3rd inning by tying up the game with two walks, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch. Cardinals 4-4
  • In the 4th inning, the Fighting Owls scored two off a double and then an error. Fighting Owls 6-4.
  • In the 5th inning the Fighting Owls scored 1 run on a wild pitch. Fighting Owls 7-4.
  • In the 6th inning the Fighting Owls scored 5 runs on two homeruns. Fighting Owls 12-4.
  • Dwayne Thomas hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 6th inning to bring the score closer. Fighting Owls 12-8.
  • In the top of the 7th inning the Fighting Owls hit two more homeruns and scored on a walk. Fighting Owls 16-8.
  • In the bottom of the 7th inning the Cards scored one run on a fielder's choice.
  • In the 8th inning the Fighting Owls hit a homerun. Fighting Owls 17-9
