Cardinals Defense Puts Together Best Performance Yet

CCBC Catonsville's women's basketball team was untouchable on Monday night, defeating Northern Virginia Community College 75-35.

In their best defensive performance of the entire season, the Lady Cardinals held NOVA to single-digit points in three quarters, including just two points in the second quarter. The defense forced 15 Nighthawk turnovers while snagging 40 rebounds in a total team effort.

The Cardinals' offense was led by sophomore guard Tenea Robinson (Baltimore Poly Tech) who scored 26 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Sophomore forward Dasia Townes (Baltimore Poly Tech) finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Townes also added three assists, two steals, and four blocks. Freshman forward Serafina Stubbs (Owings Mills) tied her career high with 17 points and four rebounds.

Next up for the Cardinals is a showdown with nationally-ranked Bryant & Stratton.
