Stubbs, Fogle Shine in Cardinals Take Down of Penn State York
In their final contest of the 2023 portion of the season, CCBC Catonsville's women's basketball team continued their surging success with a 62-45 win over Penn State York.
Three Cardinals scored in double digits, as freshman forward Serafina Stubbs (Owings Mills) and sophomore forward Jocelyn Fogle (Hammond) put up career-high numbers. The win pushed the Cardinals to 10-2 and on top of Region 20.
For the tenth time this season, the Cardinals held an opponent to under 60 points, limiting Penn State York to an average of 11 points per quarter. The defense grabbed 65 rebounds, 18 steals, and forced 22 rebounds, leading the way in another dominant performance.
Offensively, the Cardinals were led in scoring by their forwards. Sophomore forward Dasia Townes (Baltimore Poly Tech) put up 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Serafina Stubbs had a career day, scoring 15 points, eight rebounds, and six steals. Leading the Cardinals in scoring was Jocelyn Fogle, who dropped 16 points and 14 rebounds.
The Cardinals next take on Montgomery College on January 10.
