Cardinals Fall In Close Matchup

Cardinals Fall In Close Matchup

The Caridnals fell 68-62 Sunday in their matchup with Lousiburg College.

Their defense held strong, holding the opposing team under 70 points for the fifth consecutive game. However, after their previous strong offensive showing, the Cardinals struggled behind the arc shooting just 2/15 throughout the ganme. Don't expect this to be a common occurence, look for their offense to bounce back in their next matchup.

Despite the offense being slow as a team, it was not a slow night for Daisa Townes (Baltimore Poly Tech). Townes had a double-double puttting up a team high 21 points and 10 rebounds.  The team needed freshman Serafina Stubbs (Owings Mills) to step up in a big way, which she did putting up 11 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks coming off the bench. Robinson (Poly Tech) had a great game as well puting up 14 points and 4 steals.

The Cardinals are going to do their best to forget about this game and move on to next weekend when they play Monroe College - Bronx. Look to Mya Franklin (Newton) to have a big bounce back game next Sunday.
