Lady Cardinals Put On Offensive Showcase

The Catonsville Cardinals Women's Basketball team won their fourth straight game on Saturday, in a blowout win against Wake Tech CC, 84-55.

This was an offensive showcase as this is the first time this season the Cardinals scored more than 80 points in a game. Their solid defense though was nothing new as they are just giving up an average of 50.2 points per game. This is extremely impressive as they are scoring a solid 70.4 points per game.

The MVP of the game was sophomore forward Jocelyn Fogle (Hammond), who put up an impressive 16 points, and 21 rebounds. However, this was an all around great team win as 4 out of the 5 starters had above 13 points. Although sophomore Kayla Cabbagestalk (Chesapeake) didn't have the same offensive production as the rest of the starters, she did the dirty work for the team. She had a solid 8 points, 7 steals, and 10 rebounds in the matchup.

Some other great performances that we want to highlight are sophomore Tenea Robinson (Poly Tech). Robinson put up 13 points while going an efficient ⅞ from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Mya Franklin(Newton) put up a game high 19 points while going 5/7 from behind the arc. Lastly, sophomore Daisa Townes(Baltimore Poly Tech) put up 17 points while getting 5 steals from the other end.

Next up in the 401 classic the Lady Cardinals have Louisburg College where they hope to keep the win streak rolling.
