Pullen, Galloway Receive All-MD JUCO and Region XX DII Honors

Congratulations to sophomores Akirra Pullen and Tylea Galloway on their All-MD Juco and Region XX DII honors.

Pullen, a dual-sport athlete at CCBC Catonsville, received Honorable Mention on both the conference and Region XX DII levels. She has proved herself to be a rebound and double-double machine over the past two years at the college and has led her team to victory a handful of times.

Overall, Pullen posted several impressive stats.

Points/Game: 14.3

Field Goal %: 45

Rebounds/Game: 12.1

Against College of Southern MD (1/14), Pullen played 37 minutes, scored 21 points, went 10-19 (52.6%) from the field and recorded 16 rebounds.

Against Prince George's Community College (2/9), she played 37 minutes, scored 22 points, went 9-11 (81.8%) from the field, and posted 24 rebounds.

Pullen would end up recording seven double-doubles for the 2019-2020 season. They were against the following opponents: Harford (12 PTS, 14 R), Howard (17 PTS, 21 R), CSM (21 PTS, 16 R), CCBC Essex (17 PTS, 17 R), Community College of Beaver County (15 PTS, 14 R), PG (22 PTS, 24 R), and Cecil (16 PTS, 17 R).

Galloway served as an offensive and defensive leader for the Lady Cardinals during the 2019-2020 season. She received Honorable Mention All-MD JUCO for her efforts. Galloway would prove to be another double-double machine and recorded a few triple-doubles during the season as well.

Overall, Galloway posted several impressive stats.
