Cardinals lose Second Game of Mixer

Union County College was dominant from the start in a 78-52 defeat of CCBC Catonsville on Sunday afternoon in the final game of this weekend's mixer. The Lady Cardinals faced similar issues on Sunday as they did in Saturday's defeat, which included a slow start and poor shooting. The team only managed 17 points in the first half of the contest and found themselves facing a 27-point deficit at halftime.

Despite trailing for the whole game, the Cardinals played until the final whistle and outscored Union County by nine points in the final quarter of play. For the fourth consecutive game Tylea Galloway secured a double-double this time finishing with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Mikayla Kemp contributed 13 off the bench for Catonsville during Sunday's matchup. Tatiana Bruno led the way for Union County as she had 21 points and made four three-pointers on the day.

CCBC Essex dominated the mixer this weekend by following up Saturday's victory with a 92-63 defeat of Harcum College on Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals have now dropped back to back games to bring their record to an even 2-2 on the season. Catonsville will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Hudson, NC, to take on Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute on Saturday, November 23rd, at 4 PM.
