Freshmen Weedon and Savage Receive All-MD JUCO Honors

Congratulations to the two freshman women's basketball players that received All-MD JUCO honors this season.

Chante Weedon (Forward/Guard): 1st Team All-MD JUCO

Myah Savage (Guard): Honorable Mention

Weedon is one of only five players to be selected to 1st Team All-MD JUCO- she is also the only freshman to receive the honor. Per game, she averaged 22 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.9 steals, a 50.6 field goal percentage, and a 65.9 free throw percentage. Weedon proved herself to be a leader both by word and example. She was aggressive, intense, and passionate about the game on and off the court.

Savage was spectacular on the court for the Cardinals this season. Along with 65 made three's, she also posted an average of 18.5 points per game, assisted 4.3 times per game, and averaged a free throw percentage of 75.4. Savage was also the team leader in points- scoring 500 throughout the season. She had impeccable ball control with a very even-keeled presence at all times.

Congratulations to these two Lady Cardinals on their accomplishments this season!

Tomorrow, March 7th, the Lady Cardinals will begin their region tournament as the number two seed.
