Trio of Double-Doubles Propels Lady Cardinals to Fifth-Straight Win

Catonsville, MD- The Lady Cardinals traveled to Cecil College Wednesday night looking for their fifth straight win.

Catonsville would go on a 9-0 run before Cecil made their first basket of the game. Myah Savage led the Cardinals with 11 points to propel them to a 23-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.  

The Lady Cardinals would stay hot in the second quarter taking a 42-13 lead at the end of the half, aided by six points from Chante Weedon.

Catonsville would carry their first half momentum for the remainder of the game. Weedon and Diamon Lewis would lead the team with nine points apiece for the second half to push the Cardinals to an 80-38 victory over the Seahawks.

Four double-doubles were recorded in the conference matchup, three by the Lady Cards. Weedon posted 19 points with 11 rebounds, Lewis recorded 17 points with 15 rebounds, and Jasmine Johnson put up 12 points with 15 rebounds. Savage led the team with 23 points.

Catonsville will be participating in the MD Juco Tournament in Hagerstown, MD, February 14 through 17. Going in with a five game winning streak, they will look to stay hot as they prepare for regionals.
