Catonsville, MD- Monday night's game came down to the final seconds as the Lady Cardinals lose 81-87.
Catonsville hosted Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute Monday night after coming off a 3 game win streak.
Both teams were well-rounded, talented, and came to play. The game was back-and-forth with many momentum shifts as the Cardinals were looked for their fourth straight win. Chante Weedon lead the team with 26 points scored, and Myah Savage was right behind her with 18 points scored. Savage had also made four 3-pointers on the night.
As the game progressed, so did the intensity and emotions of both teams. Unfortunately with less than 30 seconds to go and only down by 1, the Lady Cardinals committed a series of fouls that lead to Caldwell scoring on multiple free throws. With the loss, Catonsville falls to 6-5.
The Lady Cardinals will look to redeem themselves when they host Camden County College on Thursday at 5pm.
