Softball Reaches Best Ranking in over Ten years

CATONSVILLE, Md. – The CCBC Catonsville Softball team is ranked #11 in this week's NJCAA DII Softball rankings. The #11 ranking is the highest for the Lady Cardinals program in over ten years.

The Lady Cardinals finished the regular season with a record of 36-8, winning 17 of their last 18 games, including winning the 2019 Maryland JUCO Conference championship and finished with the best team batting average in all NJCAA DII.

The #11 ranking is the highest for the program since the preseason rankings of the 2009 season, when the Lady Cardinals were ranked #10.

The #11 ranked Lady Cardinals earned the top seed in the NJCAA Region XX DII Tournament, which is set to begin on Thursday, May 9, right here at the Birds' Nest. More information about this weekend's action can be seen HERE.
