2018 Softball Schedule Release

Catonsville, MD- CCBC Catonsville Lady Cardinals head Softball coach, Chuck Slater, is proud to announce the 2018 season schedule as the Lady Cardinals look to defend their Maryland JUCO Conference title.

All of the Lady Cardinals’ games this season will be double headers. The Lady Cardinals’ season starts with 6 double headers on the road. The first game of the season will be in Petersburg, VA against Richard Bland College on March 1st. The Cardinals then travel to Pitt Community College (2nd), Louisburg (3rd), Patrick Henry College (4th), College of Southern Maryland (9th), and close out their first road trip of the season in Cumberland, MD against Allegany on the 14th.

The Lady Cardinals will have their home opener on the 17th with a double header against Frederick. They will take on Lackawanna College (18th) before heading on their second road stint of the season. The Ladies will take on Anne Arundel (21st) and Montgomery College (23rd) before returning home to face Cuyahoga (24th). The Lady Cardinals travel to Wye Mills, MD to take on Chesapeake College (28th) before having another home stand to close out the month of March against Northern Virginia Community College (29th) and Lakeland (31st). 

The Lady Cardinals will use the month of April to prepare for the Region XX Tournament with 8 double headers throughout the month. They start the month in Georgetown, DE against Delaware Tech on the 3rd. The Cardinals will face Hagerstown at home on the 7th before hitting the road to take on Rowan University- Burlington (8th) and Garrett College (11th). The Lady Cardinals will return home to play Cecil College on the 14th before heading to Keyser, WV to face Region XX II Champs, the Potomac State Catamounts on the 15th. The Lady Cardinals close out their regular season with a pair of double headers at home against Harford (18th) and Mercer County College (21st).

This year’s Region XX DII tournament will take place in North East MD, from May 4-6, with the winner getting a chance to go to Clinton, MS to play in the NJCAA World Series from May 16-19.
