Bio

A native of Nigeria, Kingsley moved to the United States at age 11 and began playing soccer in the Baltimore area. He cultivated his skills at Kenwood High School, where he won several awards as the team captain. His efforts culminated in his induction to the Kenwood High School Hall of Fame in 2019.

After high school, Kingsley attended the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Essex. During his two years at CCBC Essex, he helped his team reach Nationals twice by tallying 21 goals and 5 assists in 28 games. Then, he transferred to UMBC for his final two collegiate seasons where he contributed to a 2010 American East Conference Championship win and an NCAA D1 2nd round appearance. Onwuka graduated from UMBC with a Bachelors degree in Political Science.

Onwuka continued playing professionally after College in the MISL, MASL, ASL and NISA. Onwuka quickly discovered his passion for coaching and training through Kings Dynamic Training. He served as the varsity assistant coach at The John Carroll School in 2016. Onwuka seized the opportunity to return to his high-school Alma Mater in 2019 as the head men’s coach where he led the program to 3 consecutive winning seasons, two 2nd round playoff appearances and 2021 Baltimore County Division Championship. Onwuka also spent the 2021 season as a volunteer assistant coach for The Notre Dame College of Maryland.
