Dragons edge Cardinals 1-0

Columbia, MD- The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals faced a tough battle on the road against Howard Community College's Dragons but came up short in a narrow 1-0 defeat. Despite a valiant defensive effort, the Cardinals couldn't overcome the Dragons, who scored the lone goal of the game in the second period.

Christ Dokore led the offensive charge for the Cardinals, firing two hard shots on goal, but was unable to beat the Dragons' goalkeeper, Luke Ryerson. Samuel Ramirez-Rivera also had a close attempt, but the Cardinals' attack was ultimately stymied by Howard's solid defense.

On the defensive side, goalie Atendem Fuamazah delivered an outstanding performance, making 11 saves on 12 shots. His strong play in goal kept the Cardinals in contention throughout the match, but the single goal from the Dragons proved to be the difference.

Although the loss was tough, the Cardinals showed grit and determination, especially on defense. They will now look to regroup and build on this performance as they move forward in the season, with hopes of turning close matches into victories. They travel to Brookdale Community College on Saturday for a weekend non-regional matchup.
