Men's Soccer Game Preview: Cecil Community College

CCBC Catonsville's soccer team is charging into October. With double the wins of last season, the Cardinals have improved on all fronts and are ready to conquer the final month of the regular season. Up next is a rematch with one of the teams the Cardinals managed to beat last year, that being Cecil College. Here is everything you need to know before tonight's game!

Opponent: Cecil College

Location: Cecil College Turf Field

Time: 4:30 PM

Records: Catonsville; 4-7-1, Cecil; 2-6-3

Scouting Report: Cecil comes into this matchup with a similar record as Catonsville. However, the Cardinals have the edge coming into this matchup. Cecil has a few blowout losses against teams that the Cardinals have found success against or played much closer games against. Against Northern Virginia College, the Seahawks lost 9-0 and against Montgomery College, they lost 9-0. Catonsville tied against NOVA and fell to Montgomery 1-0. The Seahawks are led by freshman Ronaldo King who will need to step up if they are to win this game.

Catonsville comes into the game after a heartbreaking loss against Essex County. While the Cardinals lost the game, they still played well and can carry that play into this matchup against the Seahawks. The offense is set up for a breakout game they need against Cecil. Look for sophomore striker Mike Miranda (Lansdowne), freshman forward Bradley Ramirez (Newton), and freshman midfielder Gio Guerrero (North Stafford) to create scoring opportunities this Tuesday.

Last Matchup: Catonsville won 4-1 last season in their season finale.
