Cardinals Draw Against Cecil

FINAL: Cecil College Seahawks: 2 CCBC Catonsville Cardinals: 2

On Tuesday, October 3rd, the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals traveled to Cecil College to face the 2-6-4 Seahawks. The Cardinals entered the game with a 4-7-1 record. The Seahawks and the Cardinals both stand in the middle of the division.

The Cardinals got off to a very quick start, earning a penalty kick just a minute into the contest. Forward Mike Miranda (Lansdowne) was able to convert on the penalty kick, putting the Cardinals up 1-0 early. Cecil quickly responded with an equalizing goal to tie the game. Shortly following, the Seahawks were able to knock another goal in right before the halftime break.

Right before we reached the final whistle, Mike Miranda (Lansdowne) snuck behind the Seahawks defense to tie the game at 2-2. This Cardinals team has showed their resilience time and time again this year, so you were almost waiting for them to score another one to give them a late win. Overall, the match was very well-played by both sides and the final score reflects that very well.

The Cardinals are on the road again on Thursday, October 5th, as they take on Westmoreland County Community College in a very tough contest.
