Double OT Thriller Ends in Tie

Catonsville, MD- Catonsville hosted the undefeated Prince George's Community College in a conference matchup Tuesday evening.

After a scoreless first half, Prince George's opened up the second half with a goal in the 48th minute by Nathan Asamoah. Catonsville was able to bounce back with a goal of their own in the 72nd minute by Malek Shedid with assists by Darrio Campbell and Wilton Moscoso. This goal marked Shedid's third on the season. Regulation ended with a score of 1-1 propelling the teams into overtime. The match would eventually head into double overtime, however neither team would capitalize. The game would henceforth end in a tie. Anthony Maseda put on a great display playing the entire game in the net and finished with 11 saves- and only one goal scored against. The contest was defense-oriented and physical- which will hopefully propel the Cardinal's momentum going forward.

The Cardinals are traveling to Keyser, W.V. to take on the Potomac State Catamounts on Saturday. They will then travel to Scranton, PA to play Lackawanna on Sunday.
