Battle of the CCBC

Catonsville, MD- Saturday's contest was nothing short of a thriller. Two CCBC rivals, Catonsville and Essex, went head to head in a well-played, defense heavy game.

With the weather taking a turn for the better, CCBC Essex made it down the beltway to visit sister campus, Catonsville. Both teams had already played a handful of conference games, but this one in particular was going to be a nail biter.

There was an impressive number of fans at the game for both sides, the largest turnout yet. Essex struck first, and again early in the 2nd period. Keelan Fedison would score his 3rd goal of the season, bringing Catonsville within one.

The Knight's would score another goal, thus cushioning their lead. All of Essex's goals were scored via hat trick by Nehemiah Crawford. The Cardinals would drop the game 3-1.

B Lee Williams was credited with 7 saves on the day.

The loss was not easy, but the Cardinals are ready to bounce back as they prepare to host Frederick Community College on Tuesday.
