Catonsville, MD- Wednesday's home opener was a huge success for the Cardinals as they held their own against NOVA.
In the first half the Cards took an early lead with a goal by freshman Ronmel Alfaro who was assisted by Abdoulaye Keita. They would tack on to their lead shortly after thanks to Dexter Martin and this time Ronmel Alfaro received the assist. The second half was quiet as no goals were scored, but CCBC's defense was loud. B Lee Williams recorded four saves and showed leadership the entire game.
Abdoulaye Keita and Dexter Martin were very aggressive as they each attempted 5 shots on goal. The Cards are now 1-0 and are preparing for their matchup against Lackawanna on Friday.
