Bio

Assistant baseball coach, Justin Riggin is entering his 7th year of his second stint with CCBC Catonsville. Riggin coached as a volunteer assistant at CCBC Catonsville before leaving the team in 2010 to become the head varsity baseball coach at Chapelgate Christian Academy in Marriottsville, MD. In three years Riggin led the yellow jackets to their first MIAA C conference championship in years. After gaining head coaching experience at Chapelgate, he returned to the junior college level becoming a full time assistant coach at CCBC Catonsville in the fall of 2013.

Riggin began his playing career locally in Columbia, MD at Wilde Lake High School where he was a four year varsity player. While in high school, Riggin also played competitive summer ball in the Baltimore Metro Baseball League as a member of the state championship winning Columbia Reds. Riggin went on to play two years of baseball at CCBC Catonsville in 2005 and 2006 under current head coach Dan Blue. He earned a degree in General Studies from CCBC Catonsville. Riggin went on to play division III baseball at Wesley College where he finished out his playing career.

Riggin currently works for the Howard County Public School System in addition to coaching baseball at CCBC Catonsville. In addition to his A.A. degree in General Studies, Riggin also holds a four year degree in Communications from University of Maryland University College.
