CCBC Catonsville hosts 7th Annual Ed Block Courage Award Dodgeball Fundraiser

CCBC Catonsville hosts 7th Annual Ed Block Courage Award Dodgeball Fundraiser

With the help of over 50 student athletes across several sports at Catonsville, this year's Ed Block Courage Award Dodgeball Fundraiser was another success. The Ed Block Courage Award Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in Baltimore, whose mission is to raise awareness of, and help prevent child abuse. The foundation is named after Ed Block, who is a former trainer for the Baltimore Colts who worked his whole life to help improve the lives of children.

This is the seventh consecutive year CCBC has hosted an event to raise money for the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation. Each campus is encouraged to host their own event and student athletes secure sponsorships, which is then donated to the Ed Block Foundation. In the first six years of this partnership CCBC student athletes have helped raise over $23,600 for the foundation.

CCBC Catonsville student athletes came together for a fun filled afternoon of competitive dodgeball and were able to raise money for a fantastic cause at the same time. Our coaching staff, athletic staff and multiple staff and faculty members from the college also supported the event through donations, sponsorships, and support during the event.
